University Life at Penn offers five programs for incoming students in advance of New Student Orientation.
Each program offers incoming students opportunities to learn, engage with upperclass student leaders, make lasting friendships with other incoming students, and have FUN! The 2021 Pre-Orientation Programs will be returning to an in-person format. A financial subsidy may be provided for students who qualify for financial aid through Penn.
Navigate these pages to learn more about each unique program! You are welcome to apply to more than one.
There are additional pre-orientation programs sponsored by other departments offered at Penn. Please note: these programs have different timelines and procedures.
They include, but are not limited to:
- Advancing Women in Engineering
- Wharton’s Successful Transition & Empowerment Program (STEP)
- GenEq Pre-Orientation Program sponsored by the Penn Women’s Center
